Certificate II in Rural Operations

The study of Certificate II Rural Operations will engage students with the literacy, numeracy, technical skills, technology and safe working practices required in agricultural industries. This program runs in partnership with the Queensland Agricultural Training College. This is a high calibre course that utilises high level resources to produce competent and confident individuals in areas of machinery operation and rural skills. This course is suited to students who are interested in all facets of agriculture including plant and animal management, machinery operation, biosecurity and maintenance programs.
Assessment in this course is competency based. Competency based assessment is a process of collecting evidence and making judgements on whether or not the students can demonstrate knowledge and skills at an industry standard. Students will only be signed off by the course provider when they are deemed competent as per the criteria of the unit.
PATHWAYS
Upon completion of the Certificate II in Visual Arts students will be well prepared for further certificate extension (into certificate IV and diploma courses), as well as having the primary skills to initiate a career in the creative industries.
